Opinion Parcel taxes should be restructured such that multi-unit properties pay their fair share. Currently (in California) all multi-unit properties pay a single parcel tax, which are used to subsidize local schools. Apartments, condos, and townhouses typically have many students, but the property owners only pay one parcel tax per building or entire complex.
