There seems to be a new unwritten addendum to one of our laws. A person is innocent until proven guilty, unless they are a public figure accused of a crime.
Usually the assumed crime was: committed long ago, quickly revealed by the press, and quickly judged by the entire country.
The punishment is a guilty verdict in everyone's eyes, and usually termination from their jobs or roles.
